Perfect replacement - Identical to OEM - but on volvo 850: amateurs beware

| This unit is a perfect replacement. Unfortunately, This weekend mechanic found it difficult to disconnect the old sensor's wiring plug connection - located at the rear of the engine down near the steering linkage. There's a tricky locking mechanism that is hard to release unless you've done it before - most people recommend doing it from under the car, but I just couldn't get a good enough grip on the electrical connector locking mechanism to release the four pin plug from the old oxygen sensor, and I ended up working from above, removing a number of components from the top of the engine (air filter housing, hoses, etc) in order to adequately reach and disengage the connector. The factory manual never discusses this. I could probably do the job in under an hour now, but it took nearly five hours before I solved the wiring disconnect and reconnect issue. Anyway, the new sensor now works perfectly. |

| This is the Bosch OEM part for the 96 Volvo 850. It is identical to the original part. Unfortunately Bosch doesn't make great parts to start with, otherwise I wouldn't have had to replace it so soon. |
Another Score!
