Product Description |
| Bosch ceramic technology affords best-in-class performance. Driven by the need to meet U.S. EPA requirements for lower exhaust emissions, Bosch developed the revolutionary planar sensor. The planar sensor "lights off," or reaches operating temperature, in approximately 10 to 12 seconds. That's over two times faster than a conventional thimble type sensor. This quicker light-off time reduces emissions by over 50% during the cold start phase, when harmful emissions are highest. |
|
Product Details |
- Ceramic element with integrated heater requires less power to activate, and reaches operating temperature more quickly than a thimble element
- Improved protection tube provides increased thermal resistance for long life
- Laser weld and Viton sealing system is totally submersible to seal tight and protect against contamination for long life
- Coated threads for easy installation

For Civics, this is designed for use before the converter

We bought both this and the 13007 for our Honda Civic's maintenance schedule. However, Bosch has the descriptions reversed. This is identical to the one that is BEFORE the converter, having the rubberized clip area in exactly the same place as the one that came with the car. The 13007 is identical looking to the one AFTER the converter.
However, I tried each in each location and the car behaved fine, so if you buy this thinking it should be used after the converter, it appears to work fine there.
I like that these specific Bosch O2 sensors are likely the best designed oxygen sensors one can buy. Go to their website and check out the patented features they put into these and you will be glad you bought it. |
